As the sun sets, so our beloved Jai has left us. The water of our tears like the salt water of the sea, and like the water of our mothers' womb, blesses this gathering of friends and family. As life is a day, so our beloved Jai has passed into the night. The fire of our life, the memories and courage, the inspiration given to us by our beloved Jai blesses this gathering of friends and family. As all that falls, rises again, so our beloved Jai will be reborn. The air we breathe, this treasure of our life, the compassionate caring we give each other blesses this gathering of friends and family. As the Earth forms us, so our beloved Jai shall return to the earth. The earth that feeds us, nurtures us, and gives us strength to carry on blesses this gathering of friends and family. Bring together the things that Jai loved and remember the part that he played in your life. In doing so, he will remain with us in spirit while his soul journeys beyond; to pause, to rest, and to wait for those who are loved. Dearest Jai, be free, be strong, be proud of who you have been. Know that you will be mourned and missed, that no one can replace you, that you have loved and are beloved. Move beyond form, flowing like water, feeding on sunlight and moonlight, radiant as the stars in the night sky. Pass the gates, enter the dark without fear, returning to the womb of life to sleep in the Divine's embrace. Until we are reunited, rest, heal, and be blessed.
